Columbus Training Centre is located in Kandivli, in the western suburbs of Mumbai, about 40 kilometres north of the main business district of Mumbai.

The training Centre is on the first floor of a building adjoining Columbus Travels. It is easily accessible by road and rail. Kandivli railway station is just a three minutes walk from the Centre .

Columbus Training Centre (CTC) is a division of Columbus Travels and Services Private Limited, which is a sister concern of Columbus Travels, a leading travel agency accredited by IATA since 1992.The parent company has also a foreign exchange division, tours division and an insurance division.

The training Centre conducts short duration part-time Air Travel Management and Global Distribution System courses , which provide the minimum requisite qualification for jobs with travel agencies, tour operators and airlines.

The Centre is authorized by IATA , Montreal, Canada to conduct the Travel & Tourism Foundation course ( since 2000) and Consultant course (since 2003).

Ad hoc seminars on customer care , selling skills and business travel planning are conducted from time to time.

The Principal Mr. R.K.Menon, is a retired employee of Lufthansa German Airlines. He served the airline in various capacities for over 30 years.

The Vice Principal , Mrs Shabnam Desai, is an IATA authorised instructor for the IATA-UFTAA Foundation and Consultant courses. She is also the Faculty for Amadeus Global Distribution System training.

Mrs Chitra Desai and Ms Sonali Karmokar are the other members of the faculty. Both have IATA (Foundation and Consultant levels) as well as GDS (Global Distribution Systems) qualifications.

Mrs Bhavana Agashiwala, Proprietor of Columbus Travels and Mr. Himanshu Agashiwala, Managing Director of Columbus Travels and Services Private Limited actively participate in the training programmes.

The Centre works in co-ordination with the travel, tours, insurance and foreign exchange divisions of the Columbus group, giving the students an opportunity to practice what they learn in the class room.
